HGOCc was founded in 1990 as a successor organization to Southern California Golden Oldies which aged out. Mark Azeez organized a team that did well in a New Zealand Golden Oldies organization tournament set up by Peter McDermott, the organizer of New Zealand hosted World Cup. Thereafter HGOCc participated in all Golden Oldies tournaments through the 1990’s including South Africa, England and Australia. Through the 2000’s Golden Oldies were sustained by the administrative efforts of Leon Lamprecht and Rudy Clark joined by tour organizer extraordinaire Kamal Azeez. 2002 HGOCc participated in a Vancouver Cricket tournament before focusing on Golden Oldies tournament in Barbados. HGOCc also visited Trinidad and Venezuela on its own initiative followed by trips the Brazil and Buenos Aires. We visited Sharjah, Colombo, Chennai and Mumbai 2010, New Zealand and Tahiti in 2011, we hosted the Victorian, Aussies locally in 2013. Since then HGOCc has visited Mexico City four times, Costa Rica twice and Belize once.
